Postdoctoral Fellow

ICS - University of Lisbon

Welcome to my website! I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Public Goods and Policies at CSIC, Madrid. I am currently working on the ERC-funded project SEE: Representation in Proportional Electoral Systems. Before that, I was a Postdoctoral researcher at ICS - University of Lisbon. I received my PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute in September 2023.

My research interests lie in the field of comparative politics. I use advanced quantitative methods and experimental designs to explore the dynamics of public opinion and political behaviour on diverse political issues, including the European Union and immigration. Besides that, my research interests also include party conflict, political institutions, electoral systems, and political representation.

My work has been published in the Journal of European Public Policy, European Journal of Political Research, West European Politics, and JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, among others.

If you are interested in knowing more about my research, please feel free to contact me at mariana.duarte@csic.es
